A while back,” I want to be a Partner of  a Public Accounting Firm” was not the typical answer when asked the dreaded, “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” For myself and many of my colleagues, it wasn’t even a thought.  We looked at the women in high-level positions and didn’t want to be in their shoes. Well, maybe if they were nice shoes.

What about now?  There are many more women that have entered and continue to enter the accounting field and CPA firms are bending over backwards to accommodate them. They are offering flex time and work-from-home options. Committees advocating and advancing women in the profession are common in many CPA firms.  There is a world of wonderful opportunities waiting for women in public accounting.

Are you ready to step in and be a partner in nice shoes?
